Well Known Resident Dies.

Mrs. Rosina D'Amico 60 years old, died Friday afternoon about 3:30 o'clock at her apartment on Center street, after an illness of more than a year of heart trouble. Mrs. D'Amico was the widow of the late Augustus D'Amico, a prominent wholesale and retail fruit dealer, who died several years ago. Upon the death of her husband, Mrs. D'Amico continued the business until a few months ago when she sold her stock to Danny Clapper who also rented her storeroom. Being in the business she was very well known and was highly respected by all who knew her. She was a good Christian woman, a devoted wife and mother and a kind friend to everybody. About 30 years ago she came to this country from Italy and married Mr. D'Amico who was a widower with five small children. These she cared for as tenderly as any mother could and to her were born two children, but there were no differences made in the family. All the children survive, namely: Frank D'Amico, who was associated in business with his mother, and Mrs. Harry Finigan. The step-daughters are Mrs. Charles Fallon, Meyersdale; Mrs. Rose Michici, of Baltimore, Md, Mrs. Mary Gibson, of Baltimore, Md., Miss Margaret D'Amico who is employed with the Government in Washington, D.C., and Miss Mame, a high schoolteacher in Buffalo, N.Y. The funeral service was held Monday morning with requiem high mass in SS. Philip and James Catholic Church of which she was a very faithful. Her pastor Rev. Father Miller officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery.
