Born March 20, 1932 in Seattle, Wash. Entered into rest, Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005 at home in Palmdale, Calif. He is survived by his loving wife of sixteen years, JoAnn. Son, Jeffery Bowers and wife Lonna, daughter, Jennifer Skillern and husband Sam, sister, Donna Nelist and husband Merl, aunt, Marge Welch, two nieces, four grandnieces, and three stepchildren, Buddy Hayman and wife Judy, Patty Rardon and husband Gary and Babetta Casagrande, four grandsons, nine step-grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren. Mr. Bowers was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in Seattle, Wash. He attended the University of LaVerne. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Japan. He worked in aerospace for Boeing in Everett, Wash. and also Rockwell International in Palmdale before retiring in 1990. He and his wife JoAnn were co-owners of Bowers Country Hardware in Acton, Calif. from 1991 to 1996. Services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Procare Hospice 42442 10th St. W. Suite D, Lancaster, Calif. 93534. Email condolences to the family at [email protected].
