Singer. During his career of over 40 years internationally projected his homeland music and was worldwide recognized as an ambassador of Brazilian popular music, recording 30 albums and 4 DVD. In 1970 he recorded his first album and in 1988 released a seven-disc set dubbed "Aquarela Brasileira" which sold over three million copies and won the international repercussions, produced by the musician Roberto Menescal and Heleno Oliveira, where he recorded compositions of famous composers Brazilians as Chico Buarque, Ivan Lins, Gilberto Gil, Nelson Cavaquinho, Jorge Ben, Caetano Veloso, Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes. His latest album entitled "So Danço Samba ao Vivo" along with a DVD, from 2012, was awarded Latin Grammy in the category of "Best Samba album". Among the biggest hits of his career are "Saygon", "Lembra de mim", "Vai e vem" and "Verdade chinesa". He also won many music festivals.
