Bennie Arnold Worsham was born the union of Adolphus E. Worsham (deceased) and Minnie L. Worsham (deceased) in Chicago, Illinois. He was the second of three (3) children.

Bennie attended church every Sunday with the family and confessed his belief in Christ at the age of 12 years and was baptized at Zion Hill Baptist Church, under the pastorage of the late Rev. R.D. Hawkins. He actively served in the Choir and Sunday school, where he met and married Ethel M. Alexander and to this union, one daughter, Brenda Yvonne was born.

They joined Emmanuel Baptist Church, Chicago, Illinois in 1975 under the pastorage of Rev. L.K. Curry, where Bennie served as a Deacon/Chairman of the Trustee Board until Bennie and Ethel relocated in 2009 to New Faith Baptist Church International, Matteson, Illinois under the pastorage of Rev. Trunell D. and Alexis L. Felder. Bennie served in the Security Ministry and the Men's Fellowship. Bennie was affectionately, known as "Mr. Bennie".

Bennie was educated in the Chicago Public Schools. He attended Gladstone elementary and Crane high school. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany where he worked in Communications and received an honorable discharge. He later became a full time Letter Carrier at Lincoln Park Station and continued his education at Roosevelt University, Prairie State College and Governors State University.

Bennie's desire for upward mobility reflected in many promotions. His list of achievements included Supervisor-Delivery and Collections; Superintendent Station Branch; Manager of Station and Branch Operations. His managerial outlook was one of excellence he maintained perfect attendance throughout his 37 year postal career.

Bennie's favorite scripture was Psalm 23 and his favorite hymn was "Amazing Grace".

Bennie departed this life Friday, March 15, 2013. He leaves to rejoice in his memory his daughter, Brenda; two brothers, Carl and James; 4 nieces (Carol, Cheryl, Valerie and Adrienne); 4 nephews (Harold, Terry, Anthony and Vance); and a host of great- nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
