Driscoll, Thomas Edward Capt. USMC (Ret) 09/09/1924 - 03/11/2013 SAN DIEGO -- Beloved husband and father, Thomas was born in Ashland, WI and moved to San Diego in 1943 to join the USMC, working on the development of radar in WWII and seeing combat service as a Gunnery Sargeant in the Korean War. He retired as a Captain in 1964. After the military, Thomas received a degree from SDSU and worked as a Systems Analyst developing classified sonar programs for the Navy. In 1958 Thomas married Margaret Anne, who preceded him in death, and had two children, Theresa and Pat, who both survive him. He and his wife had a host of friends and were both very active in service to their church for many years. Thomas died peacefully at home with his family in attendance. We miss him very much already. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at St Didacus Catholic Church, 4772 Felton St., San Diego, CA. A private inurnment ceremony at Ft. Rosecrans will be held later.
