Vern Lee Dixon, 54, of Lindon, died Friday, Dec. 16, 1983, at Utah Valley Hospital.
He was born April 8, 1929, in Provo, to Vernon Lee and Loleta Wiscombe Dixon. He married Margaret Anne Simpson, Sept. 20, 1946, in Provo.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lindon Fifth Ward. He attended schools in Provo. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a brick contractor and later a mink rancher.
Survivors include his wife of Lindon; four daughters: Mrs. Tom (LeAnn) Rowley and Mrs. Jerry (Shirline) Mitchell, both of Provo; Mrs. Tom (Pauline) Wilder of Byron, Wyo.; Mrs. Don (Suzann) Pulsipher of Springville; 13 grandchildren; a brother and a sister: Mrs. Harold (Lois) McEwan of Pleasant Grove; Carl Dixon of Orem.
Services were held Dec. 19,
Services were under the direction of Bishop Garth Gillman of the Lindon Fifth Ward. Pallbearers were Lynn Thornton, Hal Thornton, Benny McClure, Carl Dixon, Harold McEwan and Kenneth Adams.
The family prayer was given by Jerry Mitchell, and the prelude and postlude were played by Cheri Hansen.
The invocation was by Thorns Rowley with the life sketch presented by Alan McEwan. Doris Ford sang '"Going Home" and she was accompanied, by Cheri Hansen.
A speaker was Kenneth Adams followed by an organ medley by LaDean Gillman. Remarks were given by Bishop Gillman and Don Pulsipher gave the benediction. The dedication of the grave was by Thomas Wilder.
