Dolores A. Player
November 15, 1927 - March 6, 2013
Dolores passed away peacefully after a brief struggle with complications of stroke.
A native and lifelong Stocktonian, Dolores was born to Joseph and Velma Schmid and grew up on their farm on
Murphy Road. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty years, Dr. Herbert Player, sister Sharon Lynne Schmid and stepdaughter Annette Paleologos. She is survived by her brother and his children and grandchildren; stepdaughter; grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great grandchild.
Dolores' great joys in life were spending time with her husband and family, especially during the holidays, travelling with Herb to Carmel and playing golf and sharing laughs with her friends in the Nine-Hole group at the Country Club. Her quick wit, sense of humor and love for her family, friends and caregivers will be dearly missed and long remembered.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Park View Cemetery, 3661 E. French Camp Rd., Manteca with a luncheon following at the Stockton Golf and Country Club, 3800 W. Country Club Blvd., Stockton.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, http://alz.org, 1-800-272-3900.
