Mrs. Katherine Kornegay Wiggins, 82, died Thursday.
Funeral service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Reverend Don Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
Daughter of the late George L. and Kate Edwards Kornegay, she was a retired nurse.
She is survived by a brother, Norwood Kornegay and wife, Amber of Mount Olive; four nephews and wives, Glen and Carol Kornegay and Lyn and Shelia Kornegay of Texas, Cecil and Betty Lou Kornegay of Mount Olive, and E.C. and Cynthia McCLaud of Florida; three nieces and husbands, Kathy K. Ellis of Wilmington, Joyce and Glenn Sloan of Mount Olive, and Ellen and David Williams of Wrightsville Beach; eight great-nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, W.M. Wiggins, and a brother, Cecil Kornegay.
