He was a passenger on B-24J #42-100292, 33rd Bomber Squadron, 22nd Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force.

He resided in Marion County, Indiana prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on May 15, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Driver and also as Married.

B-24J #42-100292 took off, with a crew of 7 & 8 passengers along with 17 other B-24's, from Charters Towers Airfield, Queensland, Australia on a transport mission to their new base at Nadzab Airfield, Morobe Province, Papua New Guines.

B-24J #42-100292 fell out of formation, for an unknown reason, and crashed into the Coral Sea 9 miles east of Innisfail, Queensland, Australia. All 15 on the plane were lost.

Paul was "Killed In Action" in the "Line Of Duty" on this flight during the war.

Service # 35354071

Paul was originally interred in Australia and was later repatriated here on February 28, 1949.
