Bessie Bennett passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013.

She was born July 3, 1924 in West Point, Utah, the only daughter of Hyrum W. and Ella Thurgood Bennett.

Bessie attended West Point Elementary School and graduated from Davis High School.

She was a member of the West Point 5th Ward.

Bessie worked at Barlow Grocery Store in Clearfield and at Clearfield State/Community First Bank from August 1953 until May 1994.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews who cared for her needs in her later years and whom she dearly loved and they loved her, Farrell J. (Linda) Bennett, Colleen (Jim) Huffaker, Jean (Gary) Meikle, Ann (Terry) Park, Keith Bennett, 26 great and 75 great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Eldon, Orville and Don Bennett, two sisters-in-law, Elsie J. Bennett and Donna Bennett Van De Graaff, a special niece Lorraine Bennett, great-nephew Christopher Bennett and great-great-niece Sierra Miskin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the West Point 5th Ward, 3488 W. 300 No. Friends may visit family Saturday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, West Point Cemetery.
