Rex Eakins, 88 of Borger died Sunday March 10th in Amarillo. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Thursday March 14th at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rocky Eakins officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Evergreen at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Rex was born April 30, 1924 at Hammon, Oklahoma to Fred and Noma Morris Eakins. He served in the US Navy in WWII. He was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by sons Rex Eakins Jr. of South Dakota, Jeff Eakins of Borger and Scott Eakins of Fritch. Daughter Marcinia Goodner of Lake Kemp, Tx. Sisters Freda Lancaster of Lakewood, California and JoAnne Eakins of El Cajon, California. Five Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Marsha Enquirez and a brother Gus Morris Eakins.
