Born in New Haven, CT on March 2, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Agnes (Smith) Hugo. She has been a resident of Wallingford for over 60 years. She was a graduate of Commercial High School in New Haven and was an administrative assistant at First Federal Bank until she devoted her life to raising her six children. Lorraine later worked for Laidlaw Bus Company until her retirement. She was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church and was a member of the Cook Hill Homemakers Club.
Lorraine will be sadly missed by her children, Denise, Eileen, William, Daniel and Carolyn; She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Laura Dallas-Kahl. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law Barbara Hugo, and her cousin, nieces and nephews. Lorraine is also predeceased by her brother William Hugo.
Lorraine loved her family and found great joy being in the company of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed planning vacations and traveling with her husband Don. She always looked forward to the next family gathering and was happiest when the family was together. She will live in our hearts forever.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, Friday, March 8, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 9, directly in Most Holy Trinity Church, Wallingford. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
