Funeral services for Mrs. Boyd Hicks, 37, who died at a Rome hospital following a brief illness, were held Tuesday at the New Prospect Baptist church, with the Rev. W. Dean Palmer, assisted by the Rev. C. D. Durham officiating.

Mrs. Hicks was born in Cherokee county, NC, and was the daughter of H. N. and Nellie Palmer Cornwell.

Survivors are her husband; one son, Thomas; one daughter, Maggie Elizabeth Hicks; father; four brothers, Frank of Dalton; Charles of Calhoun, and Walter of Resaca.
