Virginia "Ginnie" Begley Faubel, 89, of Fremont, died Friday, March 1, 2013 at Fremont Area Medical Center. Memorial Mass will be at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Howells with Reverend Leo Rigatuso as celebrant. Burial will be at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Virginia Marie Begley Faubel was born October 27, 1923 to Frank and Bessie (Stanek) Konsel in Cuming County near Howells. She attended District 51 country school and graduated from Howells High School in 1941. In 1947, Virginia married Jack Begley at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. After attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, Virginia graduated in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Throughout her life she taught in Cuming County, Kansas City, KS, and Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. After Jack Begley's death in 1983, Virginia married Donald Faubel and the couple settled in Fremont.
Virigina is survived by her daughter Bridget Disney of Omaha; daughter-in-law Donna Begley of Albuquerque, NM; step-daughters Sheryl Faubel and Connie (Carl) Waltham both of Omaha; grandchildren Jennifer Disney (Todd Churchill) of Omaha; step-granchildren Lisa and Tim Faubel; great-grandchild Trent Disney; sister-in-law Elsie Konsel of Howells; and nieces and nephews. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; husbands Jack Begley and Donald Faubel; brother Vernon Konsel; sister Evelyn Wragge; step-son Terry Faubel; and son Kevin in 2011.
