Nancy Mathews Clark
(April 5, 1934 - November 9, 2014)

Nancy Mathews Clark, 80, of the Matthews Community, died Sunday, November 9, 2014, at Forrest General Hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2014, a Memory Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in the Matthews Cemetery in Jones County. Rev. Blaine Graham, assisted by Judge Billie J. Graham, will officiate.
“Gran” retired from Ellisville State School after 29 years of service. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claten Sennett Clark; son, Claten H. Clark; and parents, Heulin and Mandy Mathews.
She is survived by her children, Charles (Sylvia) Clark of Stringer, Ellen Clark and Angelia Clark of Matthews Community, and Carlos (Beverly) Clark of Taylorsville; grandchildren, Marcus (Ivy) Garec of McComb, Magan (Daniel) Clark Shady Grove, Kayla Clark of Taylorsville, Ashleigh (Michael) Hill of Taylorsville, Amy Byrd of Gulfport, Sabrina (Ryan) Valentine of Gitano, Ross (Laura) Tew of Laurel; brother, William Harlon (Linda) Mathews of Matthews Community; and a host of great grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Lepori, Ronnie Clark, Ryan Valentine, Marcus Garec, Keith Clark, and Daniel Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Harlon Mathews, Ross Tew, Michael Hill, and Timothy Duncan.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 12th, at Memory Chapel of Laurel, which is in charge of arrangements.
