Grandpa Dickey's greatest claim to fame was his four sucessive wives, who all predeceased him: Rachel Cockram, Fannie Brammer, Elizabeth DeHart and Lucendia Via. A forward looking man, Dickey arranged their graves so he would have a wife on either side, on at his head and one at his feet. He and wives 1,3 and 4 were the parents of at least 17 children, and as far as I can determine, at least 110 grandchildren. Among his descendants are NASCAR's Wood Brothers Racing Team.
