--- The 1900 census shows George and his wife Emma and four sons living in Oceana Town, Wyoming, West Virginia and he was working as a Farmer. He later went to work at Leevale Coal Company in Raleigh County, West Virginia as a headhouse helper. On 16 Nov 1925 George was thrown from a hoist truck outside Leevale mine and died the following day on 17 Nov 1925 from a brain concussion. George was 73 years old, widowed and left two dependent children. George is buried in Mordue Cemetery west of Whitesville, Boone, West Virginia. Emma died abt 1908, probably from Typhoid Fever
