She was born September 20, 1931, in Moreland, the daughter of Ellis Carl and Mary Ruth Barham Eakin. She was a member of the Blackwell Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.D. Virden; parents; and 2 sisters, Joyce Howell and Peggy Gooden.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and husband Rodger Story; and 2 grandsons, Jason Story and wife Bree, and Derek Story.
Funeral services are 2:00 PM Saturday, March 2, at Lemley Chapel with Bro. Dwight Scott and Bro. Wayne Landers officiating. Burial is in Shiloh Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday.
