Miriam was a former member of the Elizabethtown Flower Club, Elizabethtown Senior Citizens, Better Home Builders and the Lancaster AARP Chorus.
An avid music lover, she was a member of her home choir, Redeemer Lutheran Church, Lancaster for 50 years and a member of her adopted church home choir, Christ Lutheran Church, Elizabethtown for 20 years.
Miriam enjoyed bus trips to Atlantic City, playing Bingo, working puzzles, reading, people watching and spending time with her family.
Surviving her is her daughter, Barbara Eberly of Elizabethtown, widow of Rev. Henri A. Eberly, grandchildren Andrea Styer and Krista Olnick of Elizabethtown and four great grandchildren, Chad, Hannah, Jenna, Kelsey and two nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service celebrating Miriam's life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Christ Lutheran Church, 125 East High Street, Elizabethtown at 12:00 Noon, with the Rev. Albert J. Domines and the Rev. Frederick Keller officiating. A private interment will precede the memorial service. There will be no viewing and the family requests the flowers be omitted. If desired, contributions in Miriam's memory may be made to Christ Lutheran Church, 125 East High Street, Elizabethtown, PA 17022
