Death of H. S. Pike.
Henry S. Pike was born in Spenser Co., Kentucky July 23, 1832 and passed away May 5, 1915 at the age of 82 years, nine months and twelve days.
He was married to Miss Mary L. Armstrong at Florida, Mo , Oct. 14 1858 and to this union were born eleven children, having preceded him to the better land. Those living are Mrs. J. A. Graves of Anabel at whose home he died, H. S. Pike of Macon, I. B. Pike of Harlan la., and Miss Sallie E. Pike of Louisville Ky. There are also five grand children who survive him, Marvin E. Graves of this city, Chas. W. Graves of Anabel and three children of R. B. Pike. Mr. Pike has also many friends who will lament with the family of this kind-hearted neighbor and friend.
Funeral services were held at the Catholic church Friday morning at 10:30, Rev. Father McNeill and Rev Father Barrett of Macon officiating. Those who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Pike, Mrs. Robert Durham, Mrs. F. H. Longacre, Mrs. T. M. Hogan, Miss Anna Sandner all of Macon, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Adams, Mrs B. J. Williams, Mrs. Sam Montgomery, Will and Edmund Pike of Monroe City, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Mitts and Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Mitts of Atlanta and Robert Pike of Harlan Iowa.
