Rhoda Stevens
Rhoda Stevens, who was so devoted to her children that she moved to California City two years ago to be near them, passed away on March 6 (1997). She began her life on August 17, 1937 in Baptist, Kentucky, and married her husband Willard Stevens 44 years ago on August 20,1953, in Aurora, Indiana. Willard preceded Rhoda in death on March 18, 1996.
She leaves behind her son Thomas W. Stevens, his wife Sue, and their sons TC and Matthew, all of California City; Chad Perkins, grandson, Lee Allen, brother, Eloise Loechinger, sister, Marie Overly, sister, all of Dayton, Ohio; Peggy Bowell, sister, Denver, Colorado; and Leone Wicks, sister, Pennsylvania.
Pastor Curtis O'Brien, of the First Baptist Church, conducted the service on March 10 at the church, where Rhoda was a member.
She passed away at the AV Hospital in Lancaster.
