George N Robinson, 79 prominent citizen of Juniata township for many years, died at Heather Stone Convalescent home Monday evening, May I9 after an illness of a year. A rosary was said Wednesday night at Ihe Huston Funeral Home at eight o'clock, and funeral services are to be held this (Thursday) morning at 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart church. Rev Fr. E. J. Betzing will officiate, and burial will be made in Almer cemetery. Mr. Robinson was born February 18, 1875, in Bay City, and when 14 years old became a resident of Tuscola County where he has lived ever since. In 1893 he came to a farm in Juniata township north of Watrousville. Later he moved into the latter town where he operated a grocery store for many years and served the township as clerk for a number of terms. He was married April 27, 1905, in Detroit to Daisy Crossman who survives, as do two sons, Francis of Bay City and James of Sanford. Left also are two grandchildren: five great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Claude (Bessie) Cole of Caro and Mrs. John (Lucille) Darroch of Muskegon and two brothers James of Hancock and Augustus of Idaho.
