Marjorie Dawn Arnecke, age 80 of Kerrville, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2013 in a local hospital. She was born June 24, 1932 in Ann Arbor, MI to Clarence and Irene (Franklin) Huyck. On May 4, 1959, she married Henry L. Arnecke in Fairfield, CA.
Marjorie served in the United States Air Force from 1956-1959 and was a member of the Women's Veterans Association. She was of the Methodist faith.

Marjorie and Henry enjoyed riding their motorcycles all over the United States and Canada. Growing up on a dairy farm, Marjorie continued her love of animals all throughout her life, and she especially loved her time spent with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Irene Huyck; husband, Henry Arnecke; and brother, Eugene Huyck.

She is survived by daughters, Debbie Gross and husband, Stuart of Kerrville, and Kimberly Pieper and husband, Ben of Ingram; step son, Lon Arnecke of Austin; brother, Roland Huyck and wife, Jackie of Treadwell, NY; grandchildren, Michelle Arnecke, Dawn Arnecke, Jake Lackey, Katie Lackey, Tyler Gross, Kyle Pieper, and Logan Pieper; great grandchildren, Zayda and Kayden Arnecke.

Services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2013, 2 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Brad Schwab. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dawn Arnecke, Stuart Gross, Kyle Pieper, Logan Pieper, Lon Arnecke, and Katie Lackey.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Women's Veterans Association.
