She was born July 28, 1919 to William and Effie (Nunn) Duree in Quapaw, Oklahoma.
She married Andrew Brown and he precedes her in death. Mrs. Brown was a me of the First Baptist Church in Miami, and a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers: Jess, James Riley, Lee, Orville and Paul Duree. Two sisters: Thelma Shanks and Alta Faye Parker and 1 grandchild.
Survivors are one son, one daughter, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Miami, with Rev. Phillip Platner and Rev. Rick Longcrier officiating. Interment will follow in the Glen Abbey Cemetery under the direction of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami. Family will receive friends and relatives from 6-7 Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Paul Thomas Chapel.
