The last time we could find Jane was in the 1900 census
and she was 10 yrs old Good to know Things change
So I was filling in the blanks to my very great aunt Martha Dove Hambelton Poe Sweckard when I saw that there was no information on her daughter Jane Sweckard, so I did some ancestor-diving.
Turns out: Jane Sweckard was Abbie Jane Sweckard, born 06 Jun 1889 in Ozark County, Missouri.Abbie died 23 Mar 1913 in Madison, Polk, Missouri; she was buried in the Enon Cemetery.
On 21 Aug 1902, in Wishart, Polk, Missouri, she married Alfred L. Combs (1875-1952).
They had three children:
Mildred Gladys Combs (16 Dec 1905-19 Jul 1944)
Homer Franklin Combs (20 Jan 1908-08 Nov 1987
Charles E. Combs (18 Jun 1910-01 Dec 1988).
After Abbie died, Alfred married Mrs. Mila A. (Phillips) Baumgarden. They had two children: Sadie J. and Fred Frances Combs. Alfred died in Sheldon, Vernon, Missouri, on 09 Jun 1952. Mila died 12 Nov 1959 in St. Joseph, Buchanen, Missouri.
