James O. Breeden
PRINCETON - James O. Breeden, 78, of Black Oak, Princeton, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003 at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton.
Born June 27, 1925 at Dott, he was the son of the late John R. Breeden and Lacie Vaught Breeden.
Mr. Breeden was retired from Consolidated Coal Company having worked at Dott in Mercer County. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II, seeing action in the Pacific. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Princeton and was a member of the U.M.W.A.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Lila Fuller, Ruth Walker, Delores Rossi, and Lucille Pervaiz; and two grandchildren, Timothy and Kimberly.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ada Pauline Nicholson Breeden of the home; three daughters, LIVING; five sisters, Pauline Blankenship of Lashmeet, Marcell Crotty of Bluefield, and Sylvia Huffman, Elizabeth Oldfield and Joann Collins, all of Baltimore, Md.; four grandchildren, LIVING; and four great-grandchildren, LIVING.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with the Rev. Dan Jividen officiating.
