Passed Away at Dodgeville and Will Be Laid to Rest There Saturday
Theodore N. Vorwerk, a well known and highly respected citizen, passed away at his home in Dodgeville, this county, December 31, at 8:15 p.m.
The funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, at 10 a.m., from St. Mary's Catholic church at Dodgeville. Friends are invited to these services.
Theodore N. Vorwerk was born at Dodgeville, Iowa, July 1, 1878, the son of Frank and Mary Vorwerk, and all his days were spent in that vicinity. During many years he conducted a general merchandise store in Dodgeville. He was noted for many good qualities and was held in the highest esteem by a large circle of friends and acquaintances. He was a faithful member of St Mary's Catholic church at Dodgeville and a willing worker anywhere work was needed.
On October 24, 1906, Theodore N. Vorwerk was united in marriage with Mary Panther. To this union were born seven children, Mary Elizabeth, Leonard Anthony, Arthur, Celestine, Liolia, living, and Pauline, who died a year ago, aged twelve months. He is survived beside the children by the widow, the father and mother and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Leonard Panther, Mrs. Chester Siefken, Lawrence Vorwerk, Nicholas Vorwerk; a sister, Mrs. Lawrence McLaughlin, preceded him to the other shore.
