NORTH COLLIN FARMER DIES OSCAR D. CRAVENS

Oscar D. Cravens. 81, died at his home in Anna at 2.30 a.m. Friday after six weeks illness. Funeral services were held at 4:00 pm. Saturday in the Crouch-Moore Funeral Chapel, with burial in the Van Alstyne Cemetery.

Mr. Cravens, well-known farmer and stockman of North Collin, had resided in the county all of his life. He was born March 1, 1876 at Anna, the son ot Abe and Hulda Cravens. December 29. 1907 he was married to Miss Clara Arnold of Anna.

Mr. Cravens had throughout his lifetime been interested in the improvement of grains, vegetable and other farm products and each year took an active interest in county and state fairs. His products were always among the blue ribbon winners. Mr. Cravens was a member of the Anna Christian church.

Surviving are his wife. Mrs. O. D. Cravens of Anna; three sons. Paul D. Cravens of Sherman: J. W. Cravens of Paris and W. W. Cravens of Fort Worth; a daughter. Mrs. Orville Jones of Elkhart. Kansas; a brother, G. W. Cravens of Anna; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Kirkham of Clovis. New Mexico and Mrs. Lee Jones of Bell, Calif., eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
