Dodge City, KS-Vincent J. Andra,74, died Feb.2,1997 at Columbia Western Plains Regional Hospital, Dodge City, KS. He was born Aug.5,1922 at Ellinwood, KS the son of Frank J. and Margaret Arensdorf Andra. He was a graduate of Kingman High School. A Dodge City resident since 1959, he retired from retail stores in 1984. He was a resident of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart Council No.2955, he was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, member of Loyal Order of Moose No.1187, Howard Gotschall Post No.1714 Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of the Charles Earnest Scott Post No.47 American Legion, all at Dodge City, KS. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran. On Aug.28,1948, he married Esther Indiek at Windthorst. She survives. Other survivors are two sons: Kenneth of Overland Park, KS and Dan of Dodge City, KS; two daughters: Judith Werner of Wichita, KS and Theresa Cook of Beaverton, Ore; two sisters: Peggy Werner of Littleton, Colo and Bertha Heinz of Salida, Colo; 7 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Vigil service was held at Swaim Funeral Home and funeral services were held at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Dodge City, KS with Rev. Gregory S. LeBlanc presiding. Memorials to Sacred Heart School Endowment Fund in care of Swaim Funeral Home.
