Artilla J (Morris) Hawkins was the daughter of Jordan A Morris and Emeline Mulkey. She was born in 1859 in Lawrence County, Missouri, and died in 1927 in Wyandotte County, Kansas. She married Luther C Mcnight March 24, 1879, in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1880 they lived in Wyandotte County, Kansas. On December 19, 1883 Artilla married Robert H Hawkins, in Kansas City, Missouri, and with him, she had one daughter, Nellie. In about 1905 she married Willis C Bates. The death dates of her husbands have not been discovered at this time. After 1880 Artilla lived all her life in the Kansas City area. In the 1920 she was listed as keeper of a rooming house.
