Obit: Sylvester Caldwell of Kirklin, one of the best known men in that part of the county, died very suddenly and unexpectedly, at an early hour Tuesday morning at his home about one quarter of a mile south of Kirklin.

Just a short time before daylight, Mrs. Caldwell was aroused from her slumber by the heavy breathing of her husband and a hasty examination showed that he was in an unconscious condition. She hurriedly called a physician, but before he could reach the home, Mr. Caldwell was dead.

Mr. Caldwell had not been complaining of late, and on Monday, he was at Kirklin, where he looked after of business matters. He ate a hearty supper and retired at the usual hour, apparently in as good health as ever, and his death was a surprise to the community. Heart trouble caused the death.

The deceased was about forty years of age, and is survived by his wife and children. He was a farmer by occupation.
