North Branford - Elisabeth R. Roming Schillinger, 87, of 38 Chidsey Drive, died Monday at Connecticut Hospice Inc. in Branford. She was the widow of Herman Schillinger.

Mrs. Schillinger was born in Schramberg, Germany, February 20, 1894, and lived in Branford for six years. She formerly resided in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

She was a communicant of St. Augustine's Church and a member of the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine.

She leaves a son, Joseph Schillinger of Beacon Falls; three daughters, Mary Carnein of Wolcott, Anna Aberman of Summerland Key, Florida, and Clara Krista of North Branford; a sister Hedwig Lutz of Wolcott; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday at 8:15 a.m. at W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St., with a Mass of Christian burial at 9 in St. Augustine's Church. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice Inc., 65 Burban Drive, Branford.
