Sergeant LeFebvre was a Radar Operator and one of nine airmen aboard U.S. Army Air Corps
B-29-40-MO Superfortress #44-86276 killed in a mid-air collision at 15,000 feet in the skies over Weatherford, Texas with another B-29.

There were no survivors of the crash of the Alamogordo, New Mexico-based bomber.

Seven were killed aboard the other B-29 (two survived).
