Hopewell, IL - Robert Linden Blank, age 76, of Hopewell passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at his residence.

Robert was born on May 17, 1936, in Peoria, Ill., to Clyde John and Florence Alberta (Rhodes) Blank. He married Helen Lynne Niehaus on April 21, 2008, in Lacon, Ill.

Robert is survived by his wife, Helen; three sons, Michael Robert Blank of Chillicothe, Ill., Matthew David (Karen) Blank of Augusta, Kan., and Mitchell Edward (Linda) Blank of Postville, Wis.; several grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He is also survived by his three sisters, Jeanie Powell of California, Carol Hergesheimer of East Peoria, Ill., and Janice Luedtke of Green Valley, Ill.; and his second wife, Dorothy Blank.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Mark Linden Blank.

Robert served in the Air National Guard, and he worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Local 649.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and restored a 1959 Studebaker that he took to car shows.

Cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services.
