She was born July 22, 1920 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of William H. and Winnifred Lowder Eames.
In August of 1941 she married William Floyd Young in the LDS Salt Lake Temple.
She was reared and educated in Ogden; graduating in 1939. Erma worked at Ogden City Water Works Department.
She moved to Hawaii for 8 years and moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she resided at the time of her death.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Young of Houston, Texas, and Rick Young of Mesa, Arizona; one daughter, Sharon Cowan of Cherokee, Iowa; six grandchildren, Jason, Eric, Gija, Asta, Jessica and Adam.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mildred Wilson of Ogden and Betty Brown of Columbia, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one sister.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th St
