Hicks Jordan, Sr., 73, of Kirbyville, Texas, died Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at Jasper Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Beech Creek Cemetery near Spurger and under the direction of E. E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.

A native of Mt. Union community and longtime resident of Spurger, he had lived in Kirbyville 10 years. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include 3 sons, Hicks Jordan, Jr. Jerry Jordan, and Roger Jordan; 1 daughter, Lois Baker; 1 brother, Prentice Jordan of San Antonio; 3 sisters, Inez Sturrock of Colmesneil, Lorine Powell of Temple, and Jennie Harp of Baytown. Published in the Tyler County Booster.
