Lee Townley graduated from Redemptorist High School in 2002 and was a student at Louisiana Tech University. He was a resident and native of Baton Rouge, and a member of the Army National Guard.

He died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at Tulane Medical Center, New Orleans, at age 21, as a result of a one car accident. He is survived by his parents, Henry Irvin Townley and Pam Townley; paternal grandmother, Marie Townley; maternal grandmother, Ruth Donald; and sister, Katherine "Kitty" Townley. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, James L. Townley and Robert W. Donald.

Lee was a friend to all who knew him. He had a smile as big as all outdoors and when he smiled, he would light up the sky. He was a personal friend to both my daughters and the news of his death saddened all who ever had the privilege of knowing him. He will be missed.
