Savannah - Mrs. Mary W. Collins, 79, of East 40th Street died Sunday at Savannah Convalescent Center after a short illness.
A native of Emanuel County, she was a member of the Holy Church of God and of the Senior Citizen Organization.
Survivors include a son, James C. Collins of Savannah; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Beard of Savannah and Mrs. Myrtice Shepard of Metter; a brother, Joe Wrenn of New Orleans, Louisiana; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Woods of Jacksonville, Florida; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Holy Church of God, with burial in Hillcrest Abbey.
Fox and Weeks Funeral Home was in charge.
