Graveside services for Nathan W. "Tex" Keister, 66, a long-time Mojave area resident, were held on Dec. 24 at Mojave Cemetery.
Mr. Keister was bom Sept. 6, 1908 at Ft. Worth, Texas, and passed away at Boron Citizens Hospital on Dec. 20. He had recently been making his home in Aerial Acres.
He was believed to have lived in the area for about 27 years. For many years he was a merchant seaman, and after moving to the desert he operated the old County dump off Hwy. 58. He had also worked as a watchman at the Deep Well Ranch on the Mojave-Randsburg Road.
His wife Billie, passed away in 1972, and he has no known survivors.
The Rev. Kenneth Tweedt, No.Edwards Foursquare Gospel Church, officiated at the 1 p.m. services. Stickel Mortuaries were in charge arrangements.
