Boron Resident Stricken, Dies

Charles Francis Knight, 45, was pronounced D. O. A. at Boron Hospital Dec. 18 after being stricken on his way to work.
Born Feb. 25, 1924 in San Diego he had worked as a pipefitter for U.S. Borax Co. for the past 12 years. He and his family resided in a trailer park on Nugent St. in Boron.
Mr. Knight was a Navy veteran serving in World War II and the Korean War. His service term was 1941 to 1951.
Survivors are his wife Ruth and a son Dennis both of Boron; two daughters, Dawn Ainsley and Janice Saunders both of Fallon, Nv., a brother Leroy, Kenwick, Washington, and five grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 22 at 2:00 p.m. in Stickel Chapel with Pastor I. B. Burton officiating. Assisting was the V.F.W. with a firing squad. Initerment was in Mojave Cemetery with arrangements by Stickel Mortuary.
