In loving remembrance of Lewis Sturgis who departed this life December 7, 1918.
The stream of life flows on, and still the vacant chair recalls the love, the voices, the smile, of one who once sat there. Torn from the hearts that loved him, to have only sorrow and gloom. One of the noblest souls whom God did lend, a faithful son, brother, and friend. Always so patient, loving and kind, what a wonderful memory he left behind. Heaven now retains our treasure and earth the lonely casket keeps, and the sunbeams long to linger where our dear son and brother sleeps.
Sadly missed by father, mother, and sisters.
