Funeral services Set for resident Aubry Johnson
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 5th at Stickel Chapel for Mr. Aubry Hugh Johnson. He passed away in the San Fernando Veterans Hospital May 30th at the age of 73.
Rev. Bruce O. Inglis of the Mojave Community Congregational Church will officiate at the services, at which there will also be Masonic rites. Burial will follow in the Mojave Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson was born Dec. 20, 1892. He was a veteran of World War I. A retired cabinetmaker, he had lived in California for 14 years and in Mojave for the past five years. He and his wife Ella made their home at 1834 Barstow Road.
In addition to his widow Mr. Johnson is survived by one son, Aubry H. Jr., stationed with the U. S. Air Force in Hawaii, one daughter, Mrs. Theda Allan of N. Carolina, and five grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Travis, Malcom and Gordon all living in Tennessee and three sisters, Louise Englund of Ohio, and Linnie England and Juanita King, both of Tennessee.
