EARL FRANKLIN ECHARD
Of Newry, died at 7:30 a.m. today, April 13, 1978, in Altoona Hospital. Mr. Echard retired as a schoolteacher from Northern Bedford High School in 1966. He was born Jan. 17, 1904, in Freedom Township, a son of Frank and Ellen Echard, and married Grace Allison. Surviving are his wife, three children, Mrs. Barbara Engle of Lemoyne, and Blair and Donald of McVeytown, and seven grandchildren. Mr. Echard was a member of the Leamersville Grace Brethren Church. Friends will be received in the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

ECHARD -- Services for Earl Franklin Echard of Newry will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Leamersville Grace Brethren Church by the Rev. John Gregory. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Leamersville. Friends will be received in the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Child Evangelism Fellowship, Clifton McCoy, treasurer, 514 E. Fairview Ave., Altoona.
