Funeral services for Nellie E. Badley, 79 of Chauteau, OK were held Tuesday, December 13, 1977 at the First Baptist Church in Blue Eye, MO with the Rev. Freddy Blevins and Rev. Quentin Middleton officiating. Burial was in the Enon Cemetery under the direction of the Nelson Funeral Service of Berryville, AR.
Mrs. Badley was born May 15, 1898 near Mt. Vernon, MO a daughter of Newt and Ellen (Shrum) Creekmore and passed away Saturday, December 10, 1977 at Pryor, OK.
She was united in marriage in 1916 to Fred Badley and to this union seven children were born. Her husband and one son, Fay Badley, and one daughter, Wanda Lee Badley preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Ray Badley of Oak Grove, AR and Arlis Badley of Chouteau, OK; three daughters, Gladys Lawrence of Green Forest, Pauline Hodo of St. Louis, MO and Lorraine Gloring of Glenelder, KS; one brother, Dave Creekmore of California; 29 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and many friends.
Mrs. Badley was a member of the Enon Missionary Baptist Church.
