There is no known record for John's burial in this cemetery although he Willed the land for this cemetery to the Methodist Episcopal Church so it seems logical that he is buried on his land in the cemetery started by him and his family, near the church they started.
From John Reed's Will
"Sixth I give and devise to my two children Thomas Reed and Susannah Hollingsworth fifty acres twenty five acres each to being the east part of the east half of the north east quarter of section eighteen township eleven north of range one east township Thomas Reed on the east laying on the section line with the following exceptions to wit of Thomas Reed's part a parcel of land the lines running as follows beginning on the section line dividing the two numbers or parcels of land named in this will and testament on the bank of Indian Creek running down said creek to a certain Sycamore stump thence north to the beginning which, Which I will and devise to my daughter Patsey Reed and to her forever. The same lying south of Indian Creek of Susannah Hollingsworth a parcel of land the lines running as follows commencing at a certain Poplar stump on the bank of Indiana Creek running south from said stump to the state road with the road to Weidner's line with said line to the bank of Indian Creek thence up said creek to the beginning on said stump which I give and devise to the Methodist Episcopal Church in the United States forever to said Thomas Reed and Susannah Hollingsworth and to them forever with the above exceptions."
