Dick Houck worked for the the railroad in Shawnee Oklahoma and Cecil moved there and started a family with her husband.
They eventually moved to Barstow California, because Dick was transferred to the Santa Fe Railroad. Then on to Mohave California for the Southern Pacific Railroad. Finally they settled in San Bernardino California.
Jack their son was born in San Bernardino California in 1914. Jack was their only child.
Ceil was preceded in Death by both parents.

Cecil L. Houck
Cecil Lottie Houck, 67, of 2364 Mt. View Ave., San Bernardino, died Saturday at a Loma Linda hospital. She was 67.
A native of Kansas, Mrs. Houck had lived in San Bernardino for nine years. She was a member of the Lady’s Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and the Community Congregational Church of Mojave, where she was very active in church work for a number of years. She had been a resident of Mojave for 33 years.
Services will be in the Mojave church at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Mojave Cemetery.
