Services Held For Hunt Victim
Tehachapi – Funeral services were held by O'Donnell Funeral Home at Mojave for the late Carl Hawkins, who was accidently killed while on an elk hunting trip to Colorado last week. Accompanying him were Jake Ratlige and several other desert men, who brought the body back for burial in Mojave Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
Mr. Hawkins is survived by his wife and daughter and grandchildren who live in Tehachapi.∼Carl M Hawkins lived in Tehachapi CA with his wife Billie and their four children Carl, Patty, Asenath and Judy. In 1948 he was accidentally shot while on a hunting trip in Colorado. He was 33 years old.
