Services for Ysaac Garcia
Funeral services were held earlier this week for Ysaac D. Garcia, 87, a 51-year resident of Mojave.
Mr. Garcia was born June 3, 1889, in Mexico, and passed away at his home at 2494 Nadeau St., on April 16. He first came to California in 1919, and moved to Mojave in 1926. He was employed by So. Pacific Railroad for 41 years, from
1919 until his retirement in 1960 as an assistant foreman. His wife, Sebastina, preceded him in death in Nov., 1963.
He is survived by a son, Augustin Garcia, Mojave; two daughters, Rosemarie Flores. Mojave, and Lupe Munoz, San Pedro; a brother and a sister in Mexico; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. on Monday, April 18, and the Mass held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19, both at St. Francis Catholic Church in Mojave, with the Rev. James Maloney officiating. Interment followed in the E. Kern Cemetery in Mojave.
Stickel Mortuaries were in charge of arrangements.
