W. R. LYNCH KlLLED IN HEAD-ON COLLISION TUES.

Wilford Raymond Lynch, a resident of Mojave for 26 years was ki1led instantly Tuesday morning at approximately 11 :15 when his car collided with another driven by Mr. Bill Lee of Bakersfield on Highway 466 seven miles west of Mojave.
The accident occured when Mr. Lynch attempted to pass a car and house trailer driven by Mr. Richard E. Mitchell of Salinas, Calif., and met the east bound car head on.
W. R. Lynch was employed by the Southern Pacific Railroad Co. in the baggage department. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Lynch of Mojave and a sister, Mrs. Inez Louch of Tioga, North Dakota.
Bill Lee, driver of the other car, operator of the Bamboo Chop Sticks Inn on 18th St. in Bakersfield suffered severe facial lacerations and head injuries. He was brought to the Mojave Hospital by the O'Donnell Ambulance for treatment and released Wednesday.
Mr. Lynch was born April 21, 1895 at Saluda, North Carolina. Services will be held at O'Donnell Funeral Home in Mojave, Saturday, April 4th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Lee Archer of the Mojave Assembly of God Church officiating.
Interment will be in the Mojave cemetery with graveside services conducted by the Air Police Detachment, Edwards Air Force Base. Chaplain J. A. Burgess, Major USAF will officiate.
