Mourn Passing Of Joe Martin

Many people were saddened by the news of the death of Mr. Joseph Francis Martin, born May 29. 1899 at Salinas, Calif., and passed away January 7, 1955 in the Kern General Hospital at Bakersfield. He had been ill for about two weeks. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ruby Mae Martin, a son, Sgt. Joseph S. Martin, who is in the Air Force at Clovis, N. M., a daughter Mona L. Michael and. another son, Duane A. Martin. Six grandchildren, Ilene, Patricia, Joseph and Wayne Martin; Harold and Wayne Michael. Two sisters, Mrs. Mary Kern of Santa Cruz and Mrs. Rose Cholivitch of Salinas.
Mr. Martin had been working for the M & R ranch for about four years, and was known to his friends as "Big Joe" Rosary was held Tuesday evening, January 11 and funeral services at the O'Donnell Funeral Home Wednesday at 10 a.m., January 11, 1955.
